Go See Fireproof!

Published by heather_82_01 at 7:09 pm under Christianity, movies Edit This

About a month ago, my husband and I went to a free pre-screening of the new movie, Fireproof. I am not a movie-watcher, but I must say, this movie is nothing short of life-changing. The movie is produced by the same group that made Facing the Giants and Flywheel. This is a Christian group, so the movies they make have strong Christian themes, but are not cheesy like a lot of Christian movies.
Fireproof is just over-the-top amazing. It has every element you could want in a movie: action, suspense, drama, romance, it has it all! Here’s a quick synopsis (without giving anything away). Caleb (played by Kirk Cameron) is a firefighter who seemingly is a hero to everyone but his wife, Catherine (Erin Bethea). Their marriage is on very shaky ground. Caleb’s dad does not want to see the couple get divorced, as he and his wife almost did. So, he sends Caleb a book called The Love Dare. Will Caleb be able to convince Catherine that he does care about her? You’ll have to see the movie to find out.
Seriously, I encourage you to see the movie. If you’re married, or not (especially if you think you might marry someday). If you’re a Christian, or not. Male or female, young or old - please go see this movie; it opens September 26th.
